Homage to my father who survived the Burma Railway and the work camps in the Japanese mines. He was a prisoner of war in the second world war for the former Dutch Indies (conscription KNIL). He and his inmates have never received recognition or wages from the Dutch state over this period. The title is therefore meant ironically. – Edith Bons
